Sparta, Culvers Lake, Hamburg, Jefferson and surrounding areas of Northern New Jersey, D-STAR Repeater. Do you understand HSMM-MESH? Ham or not please contact N2KTO and help set up a linked D-STAR network to support your community!
Please listen to The RAIN REPORT interviews about DSTAR. Interview (1) (2) (3 second half)
Did you know that there are more than 400 Licence Hams in the Sussex County area? Click the image to the left to see the hams in Sussex Zip Code area alone. Wish you could contact them all at once or just have a rag chew with just one? With a DSTAR repeater system you can. Not only can you hold that conversation with all or one, you can be sending APRS (Lat. Long.) on the same frequency at the same time you were talking. No more annoying packet bursts of analog APRS. The DSTAR linking capabilities allow Hams the ability to link to other DSTAR repeaters around the world. Have a friend in Florida? Talk to him by typing in his call and the system will find your friend and open his radio up to your call.
If all the Hams in the Sussex Co. NJ area were to place a minimal donation to the start up fund, DSTAR Repeaters could be purchased and installed covering the entire Northern NJ area. No more switching from one repeater to the next while mobile.
How can you help? EMAIL n2kto at njdstar dot com with your information and specialties. Make sure to leave an email address, Call sign and phone number.
Anyone or Group that has a 2m or 440 repeater pair that is willing to associate with this group should email their information to n2kto at njdstar dot com . Repeater pairs are very hard to come by and would be greatly appreciated!
